The people

It's a Love Story.

Wellbeing
& the house

Therapies · Art · Atmosphere

The therapies at Villa O were built over years of practice and continued learning in integrative wellbeing. The four therapies now offered represent a considered selection: evidence-based, complementary, and chosen because they work — not because they are fashionable.

The house itself is an equal passion — the decoration, the art collection, the atmosphere that guests feel the moment they arrive. Nothing was placed without thought. Every object, every room, every corner of the garden carries intention.

Hospitality
& the kitchen

Restaurant · Catering · Gatherings

Twenty years in professional hospitality — as a restaurateur and as someone who understands that food is never just about the food. It is about timing, attention, and the particular pleasure of a table that has been set with care.

The catering at Villa O's private gatherings draws on that experience directly. The menus adapt to the occasion, the season, and the guests — and the kitchen never outsources what it can do better itself.

The house

More than a century
of being lived in

Villa O was not built to be a landmark. It was built to be a home — and that is what it has been, in different ways, ever since.

1901

The villa is built

Constructed in the art nouveau style, with the decorative ironwork, organic lines, and craftsmanship characteristic of the Belle Époque. The 120-year-old tree in the garden is already well established. Virton is a quiet market town in the southernmost reach of Belgium — the Gaume — known for its warm climate and forested landscape.

The decades between

The house lives

A private home for most of its first century. The architecture is maintained, the garden tends to itself, and the tree grows taller than the roofline. The house accumulates the quiet history that gives old buildings their particular quality of presence.

The beginning

Therapies open at Villa O

The house finds a new purpose. Wellbeing therapies — rooted in years of practice and a genuine belief in their value — become the first offering at Villa O. The setting turns out to matter as much as the therapy itself.

The expansion

The guesthouse opens

The five rooms open, followed by the Poolhouse. What had been a place to come for a session becomes a place to stay for a night, a weekend, a week. The art collection grows. The garden is shaped. The house becomes more itself.

Now

Villa O today

Rooms, a private poolhouse, intimate gatherings, wellbeing therapies, and a collection of art that lives on the walls until someone takes it home. A house that is still being loved, still being improved, and still producing the quality of quiet that most places can no longer offer.

The art

Art that lives
in the house, not
in storage.

Every work at Villa O was chosen for its relationship with the house — not collected for investment or displayed for effect. The pieces live in the rooms, on the stairs, in the corridors. Guests wake up to them.

Some works have been here from the beginning. Others have arrived since — brought back from travels, discovered in the region, given as gifts by artists who stayed. The collection is not fixed and is not for sale in the conventional sense. But if a piece speaks to a guest during their stay, a conversation can begin.

This is how art should move: from the place where it was loved, to the person who will love it next.

What Villa O is for

"We built this for people who notice things — the quality of light in a room, the age of a tree, the difference between food that was made with attention and food that was merely prepared."
